Clan-wide announcements:

This week's featured fiction is coming soon!
[9/8]

How does featured fiction work? The author of this week's featured fiction will pick the featured fiction for next week. For a list of previously featured fictions, please click here. Note that you can pick a previously featured fiction as long as it hasn't been featured in the past year. (Authors, I need your picks by Tuesday at the latest. If something comes up, please let me know, and I will give you a one week grace period, otherwise I will pick for you.)

Don't want to read all the announcements every day? You don't have to! Just look for the alt symbol for new items and the alt symbol for items that have changed status.

This was interesting but I found it kind of sad and depressing. I do like some of the imagery, like this stanza...

alt The Davis prologue and chapters 1-4, reviewed by Shy0ne

I like this little opening form the characters talking of each other, although it would have been nice to had some detail of what they looked like or some quirks of their personality. Over all a nice start to the story...

"Freight," reviewed by Shy0ne

I really enjoyed this story. You caught my attention to the great dialog and I like the atmosphere you established right a way. a crowded train with all sorts of people of varying types and there is robots! Or androids! and the prejudiced glance and feelings towards them, a nice twist for the future. I also really liked Freight's name, it most fitting with who he is and your ending was great!

"poor/obscure vs. RICH!and!FAMOUS!," reviewed by Shy0ne

Reading both of these poem gave me a bit of depression in that I want to be either poor nor rich as it speaks of all the negative in both the worlds. The last one Its not a riot until we all arrive was interesting, I liked the repeat of the last words giving it a very chanting style to the poem. Nice work and I enjoyed all three of these poems.

"Angel Horror Story - The Ring," reviewed by Shy0ne

I am not a fan of horror as the scare the heck out of me. (too vivid imagination!) That said I liked this as it was creepy but not that scare the what-its out of you. I like the dynamic of Clair and Alica and you get the feeling they know each other very well. One thing is I have heard and seen very small bits of the Ring so I found that I could follow the story well enough but those that have no knowledge might get a bit confused. You might want to add a bit of background detail of this, how I am not sure. As this is a good story as it is. I liked none the less.
